N7 Fund Announces 2014 N7 Sport Summit Dates

The N7 Fund, a charitable organization committed to bringing sport and all of its benefits to Native American and Aboriginal communities in the United States and Canada, and the Native Wellness Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to promoting the well-being of Native people through programs and trainings that embrace the teachings and traditions of Native ancestors (“NWI”), are in the planning stages of organizing the 3rd N7 Sport Summit. With a theme of “7 years of N7: Gathering Speed to Move Future Generations,” the 2014 Sport Summit will take place October 2nd through October 4th, 2014, and hope to bring individuals from the United States and Canada together at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

The N7 Sport Summit aims to bring experts and leaders together to discuss ways in which sport can be a catalyst for holistic transformation within Native American and Aboriginal communities, and to inspire action. Attendees will include tribal leaders and representatives, community activists, educators, tribal and nonprofit organization representatives that serve Native American and Aboriginal youth through physical activity and sport, and others committed to improving wellness through sport in Native communities.

The N7 Sport Summit will offer hands on training and resources to participants that are inspired to implement bring about positive change in their communities.
The N7 Fund and the Native Wellness Institute envision Native American and Aboriginal communities without (i) obesity and diabetes, (ii) teen suicide and (iii) low graduation rates. The N7 Fund’s goal is to unleash the power of sport in Native American and Aboriginal youth to achieve this vision. We hope that you will join hands with us to further the visions and missions of the N7 Fund and the Native Wellness Institute.
